Dear bathers and swimmers, 


Welcome to the Lättich Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Pool.
 

We want you to feel comfortable and that you will be able to recover in our swimming facilities. To ensure that this will be possible for all of our guests, there are some rules to be applied with respect to our swimming facilities. Please follow the instructions issued by our staff and please comply with the Bathing Rules and Regulations. Please show consideration for the other bathers and swimmers and please behave in such a manner that this will not result in any nuisance, disturbance or danger for any other individuals. 


We wish you an enjoyable stay and would like to thank you for your support. 


Section 1 Basic Regulations 

The present Bathing Rules and Regulations shall be adopted by the Municipal Council and shall regulate the use of the Lättich Baar Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Pool. 
 

It shall be based on Section 84 Para. 4 of the Swiss Act on the Organisation and the Administration of the Municipalities of 4 September 1980 (Swiss Municipality Act – Gesetz über die Organisation und die Verwaltung der Gemeinden, Gemeindegesetz) as well as on Section 20 Clause k of the Municipal Code (Gemeindeordnung) of 2 December 2001.


Section 2 Opening Hours

The opening hour shall be defined by the Municipal Council and shall be published:

  • on the information board located at the entrance;

  • in the information sheet at the checkout; 

  • on the municipal homepage at www.baar.ch.


Any extraordinary closures of the establishment, for ex. for swimming competitions, maintenance activities, etc., shall be published at www.baar.ch, in the Official Journal of the Canton of Zug and in the “Zugerbieter” local magazine.


Section 3 User Charges 

For the use of the swimming facilities, an entrance fee has to be paid for every bather and swimmer. The amount of the fee shall be separately defined by the Municipal Council. Upon payment of the entrance fee, the bather or swimmer shall be deemed to acknowledge the Bathing Rules and Regulations.


Single entrance tickets shall be redeemable during a period of one year after their issue. Subscriptions of ten tickets shall have a validity of ten years, starting with the date of issue. Season tickets shall be available for a term of three, six or twelve months and shall cease to be valid after the expiry of said time limit, starting with the date of issue. 

Any redeemed entrance tickets shall cease to be valid once the swimming facilities are left. As a general rule, any unused subscriptions and season tickets shall not be refunded. Any refund or interruption shall be possible only in case of season tickets and for any health-related reasons against presentation of a medical certificate. In any case of misuse, the subscription or season ticket shall be withdrawn. In any case of commercial use, the course participants shall pay the entrance fee. The event organiser shall receive 10% of the money earned for the course.


Section 4 Access Regulations 

The use of the swimming facilities may be restricted either in whole or in part due to technical, safety-related or organisational reasons. Likewise, the use may be limited to a specific group of users. Any entitlement to claim any refund of the entrance fee already paid shall not exist.
 

Access to the swimming facilities may not be granted to:

  • Personen mit offenen Wunden oder übertragbaren Krankheiten.

  • individuals with open wounds or communicable diseases; 

  • individuals who are under the influence of intoxicating substances and pose a risk to themselves or any other guests or harass or bother any other bathers or swimmers; 

  • individuals behaving in an undue or improper manner 

  • individuals accompanied by animals (except for visually impaired persons with guide dogs or restaurant guests). 


Children of pre-school age may only enter the swimming facilities if they are accompanied by an adult person - aged 18 years or more. Said adult person shall bear full responsibility for the child. 


Section 5 Liability 

The use of the swimming facilities shall take place at the user’s own risk. The municipality of Baar shall not be liable for any damage caused by itself or by its staff to the guest due to any unlawful behaviour, in particular any behaviour contrary to the agreement or any culpable behaviour.

The municipality of Baar shall not be liable for any damage caused by any non-observance of the Bathing Rules and Regulations, of any other regulations for use or by any non-compliance with the instructions issued by the bodies of the public bathing facility, by any other own fault on the part of the injured party or by any unavoidable events and/or events of force majeure, including, in particular, but not limited to any interventions by third parties. The same shall also apply, mutatis mutandis, to any special regulations for use posted at the location of the respective devices and installations (for ex. for the slide, etc.) as well as for any prohibitions of use.

The municipality of Baar shall not be liable for any thefts. The bathers and swimmers shall be liable for any damage caused by them to the indoor swimming facilities as a result of any improper use. Several parties causing such damage shall be jointly and severally liable. 


Section 6 Authorisation Requirement 

The use of any image and sound recording devices shall not be permitted. In exceptional cases, the Real Estate / Sports department may grant an approval. The visual recording of individuals shall be permitted only with the consent of the respective individual. Events of any nature whatsoever (incl. political actions and the collection of signatures) on the premises of the Lättich Outdoor and Indoor Swimming Pool shall be subject to the prior obtainment of a corresponding approval from the Real Estate / Sports department. 


Any giving of swimming lessons, courses and instructions without prior approval shall not be permitted. 


Section 7 Safety Regulations 

Non-swimmers shall not be permitted to enter the swimming areas. 


The use of any swimming aids, inflatable swimming items, flippers, diving googles and snorkels in the swimmer pools (sports pool 25 m, outdoor pool 50 m, jumping bays) shall not be permitted. Excluded from this shall bee any approved courses and monitored training courses. Fitness or long distance flippers (short flippers) and training snorkels including goggles shall only be permitted in consultation with the operating staff. The use of any and all facilities and installations, in particular of the jumping facilities, shall be at the user’s own risk. Care must be taken to ensure that any such use will not result in any other bathers and swimmers being endangered. 
 

School classes shall enter the swimming pool jointly with a teacher. The teacher shall be solely responsible for the safety of his or her pupils on the entire facility premises. The bathers and swimmers as well as any visitors of the facilities shall be obliged to comply with the Bathing Rules and Regulations and with the instructions issued by the operating staff and shall refrain from doing anything which may disturb law and order, the safety or good custom. 


Section 8 Dressing Rooms 

The changing of clothes shall preferably take place in the dressing rooms intended for this purpose. No liability shall be assumed for any valuable objects. Any valuable objects found shall be handed in at the checkout. They will be handed over to the Zug police, Baar police department. 


Section 9 Hygiene Regulations 

Prior to any use of the water pools, the users shall be obliged to take a shower. Any use of soap, shower products, shampoo, etc. in the are of the water pools shall not be permitted. Bathing shall only be permitted to users in swimwear. For reasons of hygiene, the wearing of underwear when bathing shall not be permitted. 
 

For reasons of hygiene, young children shall be obliged to wear swimming trunks or, where required, bathing nappies. Within the bathing areas, in the showers, dressing rooms and on the pool orders in the outdoor swimming pool facilities, it shall be forbidden to eat, drink and chew gums. 

Wearing outdoor shoes shall not be allowed when entering the wet areas (yellow floor area); likewise, any stay in the indoor swimming pools wearing normal street clothes shall be prohibited. 


Section 10 Behaviour 

The bathers and swimmers shall be obliged to contribute to a safe use of the bathing facilities. They shall be refrain from doing anything which might jeopardise their own safety or the safety of any other persons. For safety reasons, the bathing establishment shall be under video surveillance. 


Amongst other things, it shall be prohibited:

  • to push or throw any third parties into the swimming pools; 

  • to cause any nuisance or harassment of any nature whatsoever, as well as to jump into the water pools if this results in any danger to any other bathers or swimmers; 

  • to run on the pool borders; .

  • to play any ball or any other games in any areas other than the zones intended for this purpose; 

  • to use any radios and any other music devices or musical instruments in such a manner that this causes any disturbance to any third parties. 


Section 11 Penal Provisions 

Any offences committed against the provisions of the Swimming Rules and Regulations or against any instructions issued by the operating staff shall be punished by a warning or expulsion. In case of any expulsion being issued, the party concerned shall not be entitled to claim any refund of the entrance fee. 
 

In any case of repeated offences against the Swimming Rules and Regulations, the operating staff may impose an immediate visiting ban for a maximum duration of one month. The Real Estate / Sports department shall decide on any longer lasting visiting bans.

If any criminal offences are committed, the offence shall be reported to the police. In any case of criminal offences and to determine the identity of the offender or offenders, the operating staff may call upon the assistance of the police forces. In the event of any wilful damage or contamination of the bathing facilities, the party having caused such damage shall be obliged to reimburse any expenses incurred for the inconvenience caused. 
 

Any misuse of the alarm system shall be punished by immediate expulsion and reimbursement of the expenses incurred for the inconvenience caused. In case of minors, their parents or legal representatives shall be held liable. The operating staff shall monitor the use of the bathing facilities and shall dispose of an authority to issue instructions within the swimming facilities. 


Section 12 Entry Into Force 

The present Bathing Rules and Regulations shall enter into force on 19 August 2015 and shall replace any and all previous provisions.
